I shared this with my team earlier, but it’s been on my mind. I thought I’d share it more broadly.
My wife’s passion/obsession is wave photography. She’s not focused on making money. Just sharing the beauty and gifting great shots to kids, surfers, and strangers. You can see more of her stuff on Instagram.
She’s truly @bevsonthebeach for hours every day (working) with her camera seeking epic shots. Sometimes that means the waves wash up around her knees or waist and occasionally put her in less than ideal situations. She knows all the lifeguards and they watch out for her…which is nice because on BIG wave days, I worry about her. She gets to watch the lifeguards rescue world-class surfers and (more often) tourists several times per season. It’s so nice to know that other people have your back in difficult situations.
In this news/political/media world that glorifies the negative – just a quick reminder that…
Total strangers jump in to help each other in a crisis – but even more often in daily life being kind and supportive neighbors.
Because of people like all of you (and these lifeguards), there is massively more good in the world than bad.
